Day 2; San Francisco & Alcatraz

After a large breakfast we made our way to the piers, about 1.5 mile from our hotel. We walked along the water for a long time, enjoying the views. We watched the seals at Pier 39 for a while, they were loud, mean, and adorable. When we reached the marina near the Golden Gate Bridge we decided it was time to turn around, since we didn't want to miss the boat to Alcatraz, of course. Before boarding the "Alcatraz Express" we still enjoyed a clam chowder.

Once on the island we noticed how many flowers and birds thrive on the island. We took the audio tour, and listened to an extra presentation about some of the inmates. We then watched the sun set and took the boat back to the city.
